DEAD EVER AFTER: LET DOWN OR NOT?

So, I waited a really long long time for Charlaine Harris to finish her latest book in her Sookie Stackhouse Series and I usually don't let other people influence what I read or my thoughts on a book, BUT! I have been checking out the reviews on Amazon and so far out 517 reviews 291 of those reviews give her latest book a 1 star rating. Much of the fans who reviewed the book called it disappoint, a total let down, horrible, ..etc. Did Harris really cop out on giving her all to her last book in the series or are people being really judgmental that her work didn't end the way they wanted it too?

I really really do want to read this book, but sadly I have a feeling that I too am going to be let down since a lot of those reviews were filled with spoilers and they told me what happens to Eric's character (I wont mention it). So in my heart I honestly don't know whether or not I am going to read this (More than likely I will just to give myself a piece of mind.) without prejudice since I have already polluted myself with other peoples views and opinions. Hopefully I will read it and come away with a more favorable opinion of the last book in the Sookie Stackhouse Series, but my hopes are not high since the character that I most love doesn't really get what he desires in the end.

I hope that I see it very different from everyone that says Harris did a poor job of ending the series. I believe no writer tries to do a bad job on a book that they work so hard on and that takes up so much of their lives. I hope after I ready it I have something different to tell you. So go out and read it and let me know what you think. Also remember if you don't like it you can always return it.

Please let me know what you think of the book if you've already read it.

BOOKS AND WEBSITES NEW MOTHERS SHOULD CHECKOUT

Being a new mother I can say is one of the scariest things in the world. You are now in charge of a new life. You are charged with the responsibility of making sure he/she is feed, cleaned, entertained and every need taken care of. Mind you because of the demands being placed on you by your new little bundle of joy you might feel that you have no time for yourself, and I would say that your right! For the first few months of your baby's life, your life is no longer your own. You sleep when he/she sleeps, you eat when you have time to sneak it in, and you finally take a shower when he/she takes a long nap. But it gets better and its well worth it. Eventually your little bundle starts sleeping thought   All of those demands and sleepless nights were something you thought you were prepared for, but when it finally came down to it you were totally wrong. Gone are helpful nurse's that would take your little one to the nursery when you wanted to take a nap. Gone are the extra...

EBOOKS OR TRADITIONAL BOOKS

With the human race ever evolving so is our way of doing things. When man first started writing he took chalk to the wall of caves. From there we've moved on to paper, but we did not stop there. The way of spreading the written word has evolved beyond what any prehistoric man could dream. From chalk, to the pencil, to the printing press, to the typewriter, and now to the modern computer. We have surely come a long way and with these leaps we have moved forward with the way we entertain, horrify, and thrill the modern reader. Since technology has made it so easy for use in developed countries to have access to books are we going to evolve pass the traditional book? Will we no longer need to feel paper under our finger tips with the introduction of the eBook? Paper or Plastic   Not everyone has a computer, Ipad or an ebook reader (Nook, Kindle, Kobo). So is it safe to say that the traditional paper books that we've grown up with are not endanger? I think not! I say th...
