Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters B+

So the other day I  saw Hansel & Gretel and I must say I really enjoyed the new take on this old story. We start out with the traditional tale of Hansel & Gretel being left in the woods by their father. the children then wonder off into the woods and find a house made out of candy. They bang on the door to seek help only to encounter a ugly old witch that wanted them to stay for dinner. I liked the movie because we get a grow up version of the tale, with more guts and gore, so if your not into exploding witches this isn't for you. Gretel portrayed Gemma Arterton gives a great performance as a kick ass witch hunter who due to their past run in with the witch in the forest has no love for those that practice the dark arts. Even though she dislikes witches she always wants proof before the sentence them to fire. Along with her brother portrayed by Jeremy Renner who also plays Hawkeye from the Avenger they come to a town where children are going missing and the...

THE RAMEN GIRL: GOOD MOVIE

There are a lot of actors that have died far too young. They left an empty space that sometimes can never be filled by anyone new that comes a long. Being a old as I am I've read about the deaths of many a young actors that I really liked. River Phoenix, Jonathan Brandis, and most recently Brittany Murphy. The other night while trying to find something on that deplorable contraption called the cable box, I came a cross movie that I totally brushed off many a time as something not worth watching. That night I decided what the hell why not give it a chance. So I put my kid to bed and settled in to watch The Ramen Girl. The Ramen Girl is one of Brittney Murphy's movies and I have to say besides her role in Clueless the character she played in the Ramen Girl is one I really liked. Abby moves to Japan to be with her boyfriend who soon then abandons her. Abby believes that he will return and stays in Japan, but we all know that he isn't coming back. Abby befriends some other...

TV SHOWS I WISH THEY WOULD BRING BACK

So the other day I decided to explore all the shows on Netflixs and found a bunch of shows that I really liked. But sadly almost all of them have been canceled which is a crime because they were really good and totally interesting. 1.) The first show I want to complain about is TORCHWOOD! First of all if you haven't seen this show you need to see it you will fall in love be you man or woman with Captain Jack Harkness and his team right away. So anyway after about 4 seasons Torchwood was placed on the back burner. If you don't know anything about Torchwood here is some short insight. Torchwood first made its appearance in Doctor Who as did Captain Jack. So everyone one loved Captain Jack and Torchwood became a spin off. I've watched all of seasons 1,2 ,3 and 4 (which you would have to stay up really late and find it on Showtime). Sadly I believe Torchwood got pushed to the side because the writer who writes the series also wrote the Doctor Who series so who knows if is ...

THE HOST CAN IT BEAT TWILIGHT?

CAN STEPHANIE MEYERS NEXT BOOK TO MOVIE OUT DO THE TWILIGHT SAGA? It's been  almost two months since Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 came out and already we long to have some more Bella and Edward action in our lives. Well tough cookies! The books are done; the movies are over and you think to yourself "now what?" Well don't fear my fellow Twihards. If you are a true Stephanie Meyer fan than you know what's coming. In month plus "The Host" another bestseller from the author that got us addicted to sparkly vampire is scheduled to be in theaters  Like many of my fellow Twilight loving fans we might say there's no Edward in it....Sorry loves not everything can be about our favorite vampire. If you haven't already read it and I am sure that you will after reading this. You will be happy to know like The Twilight Saga there is a love triangle in this book/film. Sure the girls that both the guys love in the book inhabit the same body, but that...

2013 WELCOME TO THE NEW YEAR

It's been a while since I've posted anything and I would like to say to everyone Merry belated Christmas and Happy New Year. A lot happened last year I started my blog and gained a new sense of fellowship with others out there that are in the blogging universe. I gained an audience for the things I write and I found out how much I like writing about stuff to entertain and inform people. I hope to write many more articles this year and attend some great trade shows, movies, and also read a couple more books to tell you about. As far as the books, I got myself Kindle Fire HD and I've been hooked on everything that is Rick Riordan. I've read all of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians and I've recently finished Hero's of Olympians: Mark of Athena. These are great series since I am into Greek mythology and I grow attached the the character of Percy Jackson so it's great that he is still around. It's so painful when you get hooked on a series to have to w...
